Tom's commitment to traffic safety will live on as a legacy of fewer and fewer unnecessary deaths on our highways. He was an inspiration to many in the field and a mentor and friend to my late wife, Kathy Swanson, who was able to continue Tom's work at Traffic Safety after his well-deserved retirement. I will always remember Tom for his gracious good humor.

I am so sorry to learn of Tom's passing. He was an inspiring highway safety leader and a good friend. He left a legacy in MN when he retired. He was one of the good guys.

Dorie
Sue and I were so sorry to learn of Tom's passing. As you know Tom was a GIANT in the HS field nationally and especially in Region 5. We could always count on Tom for thoughtful discussion and HS counter measure implementation- with one goal to save lives and injuries of the people of MN and nationally. As I sure you will remember the old piano bar Tom and Tom Enright did a great job singing at in the 70's, now they both are together again hopefully singing their hearts out.
You all are in our thoughts and prayers.

Dorie, Jenny, Ron, Luke & Logan- Sorry to hear about Tom. He was such a funny and gentle man, a lot like my own dad. Today they are both probably sitting on a pontoon in Heaven sharing their favorite beverage, laughing and telling each other jokes! I know you will miss his smiling face everyday. I hope though that happy memories of times spent with him help comfort you today and the days to come. With love always, Terri

I went to school with a Jenny Boerner, not sure it is the same family, however, I wish to offer my condolences on your loss. If alzheimers was his ailment, I am sure it has been devastating watching his decline.

I'M SO SORRY TO HEAR OF TOMMY PASSING. I HAVE KNOWN TOM SINCE I WAS A VERY LITTLE GIRL. WE ATTENDED THE SAME CHURCH "BETHANY LUTHERAN" ON THE EAST SIDE. WE SANG IN CHOIR AT THE CHURCH TOGETHER. GOD BLESSED HIM WITH ONE OF THE MOST BEAUTIFUL TENOR VOICES I HAVE EVER HEARD. I HAVEN'T HEARD MUCH OF HIM SINCE HE MARRIED DORIE. WE WERE ALL IN LOVE WITH TOMMY.HE WAS A WONDERFUL KIND PERSON. MY SYMPATHY TO ALL OF HIS FAMILY.
