Ralph Taylor Brown born Oct. 29, 1919, departed this world Nov. 25, 2015 at age 96, wondering why God left him here this long. He was preceded in death by his first love, Beatrice Ann Brown, of over 50 years; an infant son, Ralph Gary Brown; daughter, Anita Tucker; and granddaughter, Michelle Brown. He leaves behind one of his great loves of this life, Ruby Rosenthal of 20 years; two sons, James and wife, Eva; John and wife, Nancy Brown; grandchildren, Kevin Amy Brown, Jimmy and Katie Brown, Jason and Lacy Tucker; Helena and Steve McCaffrey; Great grandchildren, Cole, Jordyn, Ali and Karli Brown, Mandy and Jessie Akins; very close friends, Gennie Little and Ken Hunt. He was a man of great moral compass and integrity and had a giving heart. He worked extremely hard and played just as hard. Ralph owned and operated R&B Drilling for many years, and had many other successful endeavors. He served our country as a WWII veteran. His love of fishing and racing runs deep. Ralph is truly a man that will be missed. Arrangements are under the direction of Empire Mortuary and Pastor Jack McMilin. Uncle Jack, I am heartbroken that I didn't get to see and be with you for so many, many years. After talking to you on the phone and you telling me you loved me, I rejoiced, knowing that separation, distance and time does not stop love. You saw almost a century of history pass, and lived it to the fullest. I remember you and your oldest sibling, my Papaw, getting together and laughter, stories and love filling the days and nights you we're together! The 14 year age difference between you and he, would drift away when you would get together; and the adventutures were on - camping, hunting, fishing, going to the races, whether it be dogs or horses, it was amazing, with Aunt Bea and Mamas chattering away and trying to keep the "Brown Boys" in line! You we're blessed with an amazing families and love that filled all of your 96 years, and God gave you two strong, loving, devoted women to share your life with, Aunt Bea, then Aunt Ruby, who both loved you, heart and soul, and those loves will superseded Heaven and Earth. I love you, forever and always.
