UNION — Mrs. Janet Lovelace Howell, 78, wife of Francis "Buck" Howell of 296 Meansville Rd. Apt. B4, Union, passed away Wednesday, Oct. 22, 2014 at her home.
Mrs. Howell was born in Harris, NC Feb. 16, 1936, a daughter of the late Adam Price Lovelace and Melissa Cooper Lovelace. She was a graduate of Union High School and retired from Wallace Thomson Hospital Food Services after 15 years of service. Mrs. Howell was a member of Ottaray Baptist Church.
Surviving in addition to her husband are three daughters, Lynne Barker of Pauline, Ann Justice Starrett of Union and Melissa Howell Carter and husband Shane of Elgin; a son, Randy Howell of Union; a sister, Faye Hodge of Forest City, NC; six grandchildren, Chris Thompson, Kelly Estrada, Brandon Thompson, Amy McFarland, Meghan Howell and Nichole Henderson; five great-grandchildren, Quent Clary, Austin Duff, Lindsey Estrada, Hailey Thompson and Michael Henderson; special friends, Anna and Clif Thomasson; and special pets, Bowdy and Bella.
Memorial services will be held 2 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 27, 2014 at SR Holcombe Funeral Chapel conducted by Rev. Rob Gouge.
Visitation will be held in the chapel immediately following the service.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Janet Howell Memorial Fund, PO Box 293, Union, SC 29379.
The family is at the home, 296 Meansville Rd., Apt B4, Union.
