Alma L. Mueller

Our beloved Alma Lillian Mueller, 87, died December 11, 2016 at the Exeter Hospital, Exeter, NH, after a period of failing health. She was born December 12, 1928 in New Haven, CT, daughter of the late Lawrence and Mary (Nielson) Sorensen.

Alma grew up in South Boston, MA, and had resided in Raymond, NH for the past 40-plus years. She was an owner/operator of the Longbranch Restaurant in Raymond. Alma was always known to be an amazing cook and was employed in the kitchen at The Inn at Deerfield and was a longtime waitress at the Original Tollhouse Restaurant in Whitman, MA.

Alma was a 30-year member of the Ladies Auxiliary of the VFW Post 4479 in Raymond, where she was fondly nicknamed ""Happy Feet,"" in recognition of her endless energy supply at dancing events at the club.

Alma's family fondly reminisced about her ""World Famous Spaghetti Sauce,"" a recipe that was fortunately passed on in the family.

She was an amazing mother, nana and friend to many. She will be sadly missed.

She is survived by her four children, son and spouse Dennis and Karen Frost, daughter Terry Frost, son and spouse David and Kate Frost, daughter and spouse, Donna Frost and Ronald Cranshaw; 8 grandchildren, 3 great-grandchildren and 1 on the way.

Alma was predeceased by one brother, Lawrence "Sonny" Sorensen.

Visiting hours will be held on Friday, December 16, 2016 from 5 to 7 p.m. at the Brewitt Funeral Home, Raymond, NH. The Ladies Auxiliary of the VFW will conduct a prayer service during the visitation at 5:30 p.m.

There will be no other formal funeral service scheduled.

Flowers are acceptable.
