Isabelle Rousseau Obituary

Isabelle M. Rousseau, 95, of Candia, NH passed away at Elliot Hospital on April 5, 2021. Born in Exeter, NH on April 19, 1925, she was daughter of the late John and Eleanor (Whitehouse) O'Donnell. She shared 67 years of marriage with her late husband, Lionel Rousseau.

Isabelle was raised in Newmarket, NH and was educated at Sacred Heart School of Nursing. She had a long career in nursing, including 20 years as the Director of Nursing and Vice President of Nursing at Catholic Medical Center. After retirement, she and her husband built a barn at their home in Candia where they enjoyed raising horses. A devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, family was paramount in Isabelle's life and she cherished time spent with loved ones.

Isabelle is survived by her sons, Tom Rousseau and his wife Susan of Goffstown, Robert Rousseau and his wife Victoria of Pembroke, and Michael Rousseau and his wife Carol of Manchester; eleven grandchildren including: Jenifer, John, Crystal, Matthew, Kerrie, Emily, Michael, Matthew, Kristen, Molly and Daniel; twelve great-grandchildren and several extended family members. In addition to her parents and husband, Isabelle was predeceased by her daughter, Theresa LeBlanc, and her brother, John O'Donnell Jr.

Isabelle's services will be private.

I will always remember Isabelle as a very special aunt, my dad's little sister. It just felt good to be in her company, just as it was to be with Uncle Lionel. My thoughts and prayers at this time are with my cousins, their children and grandchildren. May she rest in eternal peace!
