HOPKINTON -- Jeffrey L. Dennett, 55, died Oct. 16, 2009.
He was born in Milwaukee, Wisc., to Oliver F. Dennett and Ellen A. (Colletti) Dennett. He was raised and educated in Hill and Loudon.
He was an employee of General Electric in Hooksett, where he worked as an assembler on GE-90 engines. He previously worked as a supervisor at Elkins Coffee/Sara Lee in Bow.
He was a person with many passions in life, the most important one being his family in Concord and Vermont, especially his grandson A.J.
He had many talents and interests that he cultivated through his life. One of those was playing the drums, which he began in 1968. He played for several bands throughout the New England area. He also enjoyed flying ultralight airplanes and riding his motorcycle.
He was also an avid pistol shooter. He was a member of the National Rifle Association as well as the International Defensive Pistol Association. He was a safety range officer at Pioneer Sportsman Club and the IDPA.
He loved watching the History Channel with his son and was teased by family about his favorite foods of lobster, Pepsi, Yodels, and peanut butter cups.
Family members include a son, Jacy L. Dennett of Franklin, VT.; one grandson; a brother, John Dennett of Hopkinton; a sister, Carrie (Dennett) Duval of Concord; an aunt; his former wife, Donna Rattee of Greenland; and several cousins.
SERVICES: Calling hours will be Thursday from 5 to 8 p.m. at Bennett Funeral Home, 209 North Main St., Concord. Funeral services will be Friday at 11 a.m. at Wesley United Methodist Church, 79 Clinton St., Concord, with the Rev. Dwight Haynes officiating. Following cremation, a private urn burial will be held at Floral Park Cemetery in Pittsfield.
Memorial donations may be made to Concord SPCA, 130 Washington Street, Penacook 03303.

I will always smile when I think of you. The practical joker, always good for a laugh. You were that to many of us as well as a good friend. You were an incredible person and I am thankful I had the honor of knowing you. You will be missed!
