Margaret Ceplinskas Obituary

Margaret Ceplinskas passed away on May 9, 2022. She spent her childhood on a multi-generational farm where her energetic hardworking ethics were established. While in high school and after graduation she worked at a textile mill and in retail. She also worked in directory assistance for the phone company.

Margaret adored her husband. She met Veto and it was love at first sight to last glance. They were married 69 years. Her two proudest accomplishments were her children David and Margo, that was until she had grandchildren and informed her children that as much as she loved them, she loved her grandchildren T.J, Jillann, Michael, and Emma even more! She chose to abandon the "save for a rainy day" philosophy when it came to spoiling them, no complaints were heard from the grandchildren. She traveled to visit them and attended numerous events and activities over the years. Recognizing a captive audience when she saw one at the grocery store, Margaret shared pictures and stories of her grandchildren with shoppers waiting in line with her. Margaret also enjoyed being an older sister to Francy, who as a teenager pretended to be Margaret so that she could charge her clothes purchases to Margaret's account. Forgiveness was granted until the second time it happened, then with the grace of an older sister Francy was advised not to make this a habit! Francy reciprocated this kindness with the care she provided to Margaret in her later years.

It was Margaret's deep faith that led her to volunteer at St Pius X Church. She held every office in the Women's Guild, helped collect goods and packed care packages for soldiers overseas, served as Assistant Girl Scout Leader and Leader, and participated in bake sales. Her extensive cookbook collection allowed her not only to bake for charity events but also for family friends and neighbors. As for sugar coating, it was best left for baked goods and not opinions according to Margaret.

Margaret loved to dance, read, send greeting cards, make meals and bake for others, and going to the beach.

She was preceded in death by her parents Thomas and Madeline, sister Frances and an infant son.

Margaret's memory will be cherished by her devoted husband Veto, her children David and Margo, her four grandchildren, grandson-in-law, great-grandson, brother-in-law, cousin, and friends.

Services were held privately. In lieu of sending flowers the family would like to honor Margaret's memory through a shared act of kindness, whether it be a meal, baked goods, a note or flowers to someone in need. Margaret frequently said she got more joy from giving than receiving. She left the world a more joyful place. Her new address is the Veterans Cemetery in Boscawen if you would like to visit.

The Connor-Healy Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 537 Union Street, Manchester, NH is assisting the family.
