Stephen Doucette Obituary

Stephen J. Doucette, 70, of Manchester, New Hampshire, passed away on Sept. 11.

Steve was born on April 7, 1952, to Charles and Genevieve (Grzywacz) Doucette. After graduating from Memorial High School, he joined the National Guard. He worked for Hermsdorf Manufacturing and Silver Brothers Distribution in Manchester before going to work with his family at C.D. Boiler Works Inc. in Hooksett.

Steve had a larger-than-life personality and always made people laugh. He loved his Budweiser! He was a lifelong fan of the Patriots and Bruins and never missed a game from his recliner. He played softball for C.D. Boiler Works and Tojos when he was younger. He loved hanging out with his family and friends, going camping, vacationing at the beach, golfing, bowling, going to the casino, and watching old classic movies and TV.

Steve leaves behind the love of his life, his wife of 52 years, Fern. His three children, Jessica Dwaileebe of Theodore, Alabama, Stephanie Adams (spouse John) of Candia, and Erek of Manchester; his four grandchildren, Samantha Wright (spouse Matt) of Nashua, Emily Dwaileebe of Mobile, Alabama, Riley Adams of Candia and Olivia Dwaileebe of Theodore, Alabama. Steve's family includes his loving sister, Kathy Bournival (spouse Dave) of Auburn, two brothers-in-law, Gerry Laferriere (spouse Louise) of Rochester, Roger Laferriere of Manchester and sister in-law, Linda Doucette of Candia. Steve also has several nieces, nephews, great-nephews and niece, and many cousins.

Steve is predeceased by his parents, his brother Charlie of Candia and brother Kevin of Manchester.

There will be no funeral services. The family will have a Celebration of Life in October.

I have so many happy memories of Steve and the whole family. Growing up with Jessica I was so fortunate to be part of such a loving, caring and fun family. Some of my happiest and most cherished memories come from spending time with them. Fern, you were blessed with a wonderful husband that brought so much laughter and happiness. Jess, Steph and Erek, your father was just as lucky to have all of you as you were to have him. My heart is so sad for you. May you find your peace in thinking of all the happy times as there were so many. I loved your dad and I am grateful for the times I spent around the whole family. These are memories that make me smile and laugh and I will forever cherish them. Rest in Peace Steve. You are loved and will be missed
