MILFORD CENTER - Kimberly Anne Wilhelm, 54, of Milford Center, passed away Saturday, May 23, 2015 in her home surrounded by her family.
She was born April 14, 1961 in Springfield, OH the daughter of Arnold and Patricia (Swank) Wilhelm.
Kim was a graduate of Northwestern High School. She worked at Honda for 29 years. Kim enjoyed music, singing karaoke and playing the harmonica, shopping and spending time with family and friends.
She is survived by her son, Shane Acles of Milford Center; her niece, Deserae Wilhelm-Cain (Trevor Olson), of New Carlise, who was raised by Kim in her younger years and called her "Auntie Mom"; granddaughter, Lydia Huffman of Urbana; brothers, Roger (Linda) Wilhelm of Springfield and Douglas Wilhelm of New Carlisle; sisters, Phyllis (Jim) Raber of Dover, Susan (Mike) Jackson of New Carlisle, Pamela McKee of Springfield, and Michele (Keith) Crowley of Medway; very special cousin, Sherri "Hare" McFarland; special companion, Sean Randall and his son, Blake; special friends, Charlie Cushman, Valerie Durham, Carole Diehl, and Tammy Pidcock; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.
Kim was preceded in death by her parents; brothers-in-law, Jim Miller and Tom McKee; and her niece, Heather Wilhelm.
Kim will be dearly missed by all who knew her, especially by her great nephew, Jaeden who said, "Aunt Kim would get her wings and fly high to the angels who would greet her in Heaven."
A gathering of family and friends will be held from 4-8 p.m. on Wednesday, May 27, 2015 in VERNON FUNERAL HOME, Urbana. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday in the funeral home with Pastor Gary Raymond officiating. Burial will follow in Glen Haven Cemetery, New Carlisle.
