NEW HARTFORD - Ann Cissi, 88, passed away on August 9, 2017 at Faxton-St. Luke's Healthcare.
She was born January 27, 1929 in Utica, daughter of the late Emilio and Christine Sacco Calnero. Ann graduated from the St. Elizabeth School of Nursing as a Registered Nurse.
She worked as an RN at Margaret Hague Maternity Hospital, Jersey City Medical Center, New York Hospital and Faxton Hospital. She then became Medical Manager for Met Life Healthcare Network, from which she retired.
Ann was a member of Historic Old St. John's Church, Utica.
Her family was her life. She was devoted to her children and grandchildren. She is survived by her three children, Elizabeth Cissi, of Utica, Mark Cissi, of Apex, NC and Elaine Cissi and husband, Matt Goudey, of South Burlington, VT; her grandchildren, Katharine Shove, Julia Shove and Greer Goudey; and a niece, Valerie Waters-AuClair, of Niceville, FL. She was predeceased by her sister, Barbara Waters; and her niece, Monica Waters.
The family wishes to extend their gratitude and thanks to the VNA, the staff of the 6th floor of Faxton-St. Luke's Healthcare, Dr. Thomas John and Dr. Atul Butala, for all of their care for Ann.
The funeral will be Monday at 10:00 AM at Historic Old St. John's Church, Utica, where a Mass of Chrisitan Burial will be celebrated. Interment will be in Calvary Cemetery at the convenience of the family. Calling hours are Sunday from 2-4 at Friedel, Williams & Edmunds Funeral and Cremation Services, 13 Oxford Rd., New Hartford.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
