Elizabeth P. (Betty Jo) Nowicki, 68, of Holland Patent, died March 11, 2010, at home.
She was born May 31, 1941, in Oswego, NY, the daughter of Virginia Burke and Robert C. Phillips. She was a graduate of St. Elizabeth School of Nursing, Utica, and attended Deauville College, Buffalo. On May 2, 1964, she married James L. Nowicki in Oswego. He predeceased her March 1, 2006. Mrs. Nowicki was a Registered Nurse and retired from Mohawk Valley Psychiatric Center. She had previously worked at the Faxton Hospital and St. Elizabeth Hospital. She was a member of St. Leo's & St. Ann's Catholic Church, Holland Patent.
She is survived by two daughters, Heather J. Nowicki, Albany, and Nelissa A. Nowicki, Holland Patent; a brother, Robert Phillips and wife, Beatrice; niece and nephew, Colleen and Mark and families; sister-in-law, Pamela Nowicki; nieces and nephews, John, Stephanie, Jeffrey, Jocelyn and families; brothers-in-law, Joseph Nowicki and Jeffrey Nowicki and family; a favorite aunt, Betty J. Fenton and sons, James and Peter and families; cousin, Roberta Maxwell; and many beloved pets.
Funeral services will be Monday, 10:00 a.m., at St. Leo's & St. Ann's Church, 7939 Elm Street, Holland Patent, where her Funeral Mass will be celebrated. There are no prior calling hours. Spring interment will be in Holland Patent Cemetery. Arrangements are in care of Dimbleby, Friedel, Williams & Edmunds Funeral Home, Holland Patent.

I received your card today.My heart is broken. I'm so Sorry I didn't know.I would have come to pay my last respects.I feel such a lost right now I not even sure what to say.
