Julian David Pryputniewicz 1940 - 2016
BRISTOL, TN - Julian David Pryputniewicz, 76, of Bristol, TN, passed away on Saturday, May 28, 2016, at the Wexford House in Kingsport, TN.
Mr. Pryputniewicz was born on February 14, 1940, in Utica, NY, a son of the late Julian Vincent Pryputniewicz and Harriet Rembetski Pryputniewicz.
He was a graduate of the Class of 1958 from Utica Free Academy and graduated with an Associate Degree from Mohawk Valley Community College. Mr. Pryputniewicz was a veteran of the United States Army. He was a former member of Holy Trinity Church in Utica, NY, where he was part of St. Michael's Lancers, and was a member of St. Anne Catholic Church in Bristol, VA. He was a design draftsman for Unisys, Raytheon and retired from Glaxo Smith Kline Pharmaceuticals. Mr. Pryputniewicz enjoyed fishing, cooking, golf, sports where he coached children in basketball, football, and baseball, and enjoyed bowling many years with his wife.
He is survived by his wife of forty-seven years, Sandra Flo Pryputniewicz; two sons, David Matthew Pryputniewicz, MD, and wife, Julie, of Johnson City, TN, and Craig Stephen Pryputniewicz and wife, Kathy, of Knoxville, TN; three grandchildren, Edwin Julian Pryputniewicz, Vincent Anthony Pryputniewicz and Caden Stephen Pryputniewicz; one brother, John Pry and wife, Ann, of Hunington, NY; two sisters, Camille Pryputniewicz, of Utica, NY, and Elizabeth Pryputniewicz, of Plano, TX; two sisters-in-law, Marie Angerosa and Carol Angerosa, both of Utica, NY; one brother-in-law, Ray Fiore and wife, Tish, of Farmington, NY; and several nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends from 11:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m. on Wednesday, June 1, 2016, at St. Anne Catholic Church, 350 Euclid Avenue, Bristol, TN. A Funeral Mass for Mr. Julian David Pryputniewicz will follow at 12:00 p.m., with Father Tim Drake officiating. A private committal and inurnment will be held at St. Anne Catholic Church Cemetery, with military honors to be rendered by the Bristol VFW Honor Guard Post #6975.
The family would like to say a special thanks to the staff at the Wexford House, Bristol Regional Medical Center, 3rd and 4th floor, special caregiver, Caroline Hyatt, and to special friends, Chester Stapleton and Bob McGuire, for many years of assistance.
Flowers will be accepted or memorial contributions may be sent to the Alzheimer's Association, 207 N. Boone Street, Suite #1500, Johnson City, TN 37604.
