FREDERICK BRYSON Obituary

Frederick Wayne Bryson 1950-2022 Frederick Wayne Bryson was born on August 6, 1950, the son of Frederick William and Lois Marjorie (Bergren) Bryson. He entered into the eternal peace of God on Tuesday morning, June 7, 2022 in Shenandoah, Iowa. Fred was raised in Villisca, Iowa and graduated with the Villisca High School Class of 1968. He attended college one year at Kansas State University in Manhattan, Kansas and three years at Dana College in Blair, Nebraska, graduating in 1972 with a Bachelors of Science Degree in Secondary Education. In Fred's own words, "I never was much of an academic, but I sure did love sports." During his high school and college days, Fred worked part-time for the Villisca Elevator and Bob's Skelly service station. He moved from Villisca to Shenandoah in October of 1972 to begin employment for Howards for 5 1/2 years and it was there that he met Carol Mascher. They married in 1977 and were blessed with two daughters, Tiffany Colleen and Nichole Marie. In 1978, Fred went to work at Eaton Corporation and was employed there for 22 years. In 1990, his life was changed for eternity as he came to know and accept Jesus Christ as his personal Lord and Savior. In 2000, Fred left Eaton Corp. and began full time service to the Lord as a pastor in the United Methodist Church. Fred was preceded in death by his parents; in-laws, Richard and Connie Mascher; and brother-in-law Roger Shepherd. He is survived by his former wife, Carol Bryson; daughters Tiffany McCarty and husband, Ian; Nicki Passons and husband Andrew; grandchildren, Cadence, Abigail, Boden and Allie; sister Marsha Shepherd; and by the grace of God, a few other dear friends and relatives. Funeral Services will be held on Monday, June 13, 2022, at 10:30 a.m. at the United Methodist Church in Shenandoah. Burial will take place later that afternoon at 2:00 p.m. at the Villisca Cemetery. The family will greet friends at the funeral home on Sunday afternoon from 2:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m. Memorials may be directed to the Shenandoah Community Food Pantry, People 4 Paws or the Shenandoah Ambulance Service. Remembrances and condolences may be shared with the family at www.hackettlivingston.com. Hackett-Livingston Funeral Home was honored to have been entrusted with the arrangements.
