Kathryn Vinson Obituary
On July 1, 1951, she married R.B. Vinson and they shared 62 years together until his death in 2014. During her marriage she and R.B. lived in Missouri, Oklahoma, Texas and New Mexico as R.B. enjoyed a long career as an accounting professor. Kathryn was a loving wife and mother both to her own children and to others in need of a mother's love and encouragement
In addition to her husband and parents, Kathryn was preceded in death by her brother, Bobby Fickling, her sister and brother-in-law, Hope and Phil Van Dusen and her brother and sister-in-law, Tommy and Viola Fickling.
Kathryn is survived by her children, Ron Vinson, Susan Vinson, Hope Vinson, Jona Vison, Robert Vinson (Laura) and Samantha Garcia (Steve), and her grandchildren including, Nathaniel James Vinson and David Reynaldo Vinson. She is also survived by her sister-in-law, Johnnie B. Vinson of Carrolton, TX; her husband's aunt, Rose Delaney of Clovis, NM; her sister's children, Larry Van Dusen and Vicki DeHann and her brother's children, Sheryl Reid, Terri Owen, Mike Fickling, Mark Fickling, and Kathy Barrow as well as other family members and by her dog, Paco who was her faithful companion for the last few years.
Friends are encouraged to gather for a time of visitation on Friday, April 22, from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Buck Ashcraft Funeral Home.
Graveside services only will be held at Mont Meta Memorial Park, 11:00 AM, Saturday, April 23, 2016 with the Rev. Phillip Corzine officiating.

Grandma I have been go thru a lot and it's been a bit to much. But i have made a big involvement and yes I know that you are in a safe place so now you can love in peace and i think about day for day i am making better choice to be able to help the people i love i know that if you was still able to see me in person you would always say do what is best for me and the family and the think you told me i made it and did to the best i can and be im done . i love you grandma you where all i love i miss you . I love you Mom and Susan and Hope and Berry and Sam and Bob i am the one that what to be a better person so i love you everyone so i will do better and get my diploma and be able to help the family and yes i will all always mean this message so love you grandma. And i am also a rap music singer i am being good .

Four years have passed & we adjusted somehow to being without you, but you still guide us & we miss you. So many times I've wished to just be with you and get your advice. Paco & I share memories and talk about the day we will see you again! Til then we stay the course like you taught us. I love you mom.
