Richard Meyn Obituary
Richard was the youngest of Ann and David Meyn. He is survived by his wife of 38 years, Melba Meyn; son, Jason Meyn; daughter, Nicole (Gary) Solomon; three grandsons, Noah, Ryan and Braden; sisters, Diana (Chris) Delaup and Gail (Bob) Yates; and his many nieces and nephews.
Richard served his community in many capacities throughout the years. He was most strongly, a family man. He cherished his time at home, and spent hours working on his yard Richard also loved fishing and spent many hours in the bay. Words can't convey the loss we all feel with his death. He will always be remembered as a constant jokester, a loyal, honest and hardworking man. Richard above all cherished his family, and adored his grandchildren. He was a blessing to all who came into his life, and put everyone before himself. Watch over us Richie and see you on the other side.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to GCCA (Gulf Coast Conservation Association).
A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, September 21, 2016 from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. with the recitation of the Holy Rosary at 11:00 a.m. at Sunset Memorial Funeral Home & Crematory. 657 Springmart Blvd., Brownsville, Texas. (956) 350-8485

Melba, So sorry to hear of the passing of my childhood friend. He was a fun loving, gentle, caring man. I loved all the time we spent together. He was a "light" in my past.
