Sandra Simcik Obituary

SANDRA LEE "SANDY" (NEE;KAZMAIER) SIMCIK 1941-2023 Sandra Lee "Sandy" (nee: Kazmaier) Simcik passed away on Wednesday, April 12th, 2023 at her home in Van Alstyne. She was born on February 1st, 1941 to the late William Jr. and Elizabeth (nee: Bruns) Kazmaier in Burlington, Wisconsin. She lived most of her life in Wisconsin, in both Kenosha and Racine, where she was known as 'Sandy Hope - The Piano Lady' for many years as she supported herself and her family by tuning and restoring pianos. An accomplished pianist throughout her life, she could usually be found on a Sunday morning at the piano or organ at her current church, where she was always active in music ministry and other ministries. She is survived by her husband Ronald Simcik; sons, Gilbert (Leann) Rognstad and Glenn Rognstad; daughters, Jennifer Jensen, Leslie (Scott) Habedank and Joy Noel Hope; grandchildren, Cindy, Ethan, Elliot, Ricky, Lexie, Dylan, Travis; and great-granddaughter Alaya. A memorial service for Sandy will be held at 1pm on Saturday, May 20th, 2023, at Sunset Ridge Memorial Park in Kenosha, Wisconsin, after which she will be laid to rest near her parents.

We are so sorry for your loss. I had no idea she was an accomplished pianist! The only time I meet her was at Leslie and Scott´s wedding, and she had us laughing all night. Praying for comfort and peace!
