Clark V. Young was born June 1,1932 in Los Angeles Ca. to LaVeme and Mildred Young.
Dad was 81 years old when he passed away on Feb. 28,2014 after a lengthy battle with Parkinsons disease. Dad was raised in the small agriculture community of Bardsdale, across the Santa Clara River from Fillmore. He attended the old Bardsdale School as a youth and graduated from Fillmore High School in 1950. After high school he went to work for Hansen Pest Control, where he was employed for 50 years.
In 1957 he married Phyllis Angela Grice, they were married for 33 years until Mom passed away in 1990.
Dad was a very active member of the Fillmore Lions Club for many years. He held just about every office and received many awards and acoLades.
Dad was always very organized and very meticulous about his vehicles, especially his 1957 Ford Fairlane, that was always showroom perfect and always had the best yard on the block. He was always very supportive with both of his sons sporting activities. Besides working in his yard, he also enjoyed bowing and watching any kind of sports on T.V. especially the Dodgers.
Dad was preceded in death by his parents, LaVerne and Mildred and his wife Angela. He is survived by his younger sister Nancy Dunn ( Larry ) of Havasu City, AZ. His oldest son and daughter in law Russell and Brenda Young of Ventura, his youngest son Kevin of Fillmore and two granddaughters. Hunter Young of Santa Paula and Courtney Young of Ojai.
Thanks for being the best Dad ever, we miss you very much.
Arrangements were handled by the Neptune Society of Santa Barbara. A celebration gathering for Dad will be held at the Bardsdale United Methodist Church on Friday April 4 at 1p.m.In lieu of flowers, a donation can be made to the Fillmore Lions Club

Russell and family, Clark was such a loyal, caring man. Who stays on a job 50 years, active in Lions for decades, a friend forever? Our prayer is that the memories of your parents remain vivid in your minds.
