It is with great sadness that the family of Edward Michael Feldman announces his passing on October 3, 2017. He was surrounded by his loving family and will be forever remembered by his beautiful wife Patricia and his children Stuart ( Carol ), David ( Erin) Jessica Grunvald (Dan ). He was loved and adored by his seven grandchildren Carly, Ally, Sophia, Dahlia, Luca, Jordan and Preston. Edward is predeceased by his parents Sid and Ann and his brother John.
Dr. Feldman began his distinguished medical career as a US Navy Medical Officer supporting the US Marine Corps in combat in Vietnam during 1967 - 1968: A period during which his skills and character were truly forged under fire, contributing to Dr. Feldman becoming the expertly skilled, tireless and caring Doctor that he is known to be by his lifelong patients and the friends with whom he volunteers in the community.
In Vietnam, Dr. Feldman had to perform major medical procedures "in the open" during combat to save the lives of wounded Marines. He was first awarded a Silver Star for Valor during the infamous 77 Day Siege of Khe Sanh and later awarded a Bronze Star with Combat V for meritorious service at the "Charlie Med" field hospital. Additionally, the Army awarded Dr. Feldman a Bronze Star for Valor when he volunteered, a few days before returning to the US, to assist an Army Company so outnumbered by enemy forces that Dr. Feldman besides saving lives, became the de facto company commander when all the officers and senior noncommissioned officers were killed or incapacitated.
During Dr. Feldman's 40 year professional career he established Obstetrics and Gynecology medical practices in New Jersey and California, compassionately and expertly caring for his patients and their families.
Throughout Dr. Feldman's medical career and after retirement in 2013 he continued volunteering to help those in need. He was appointed my Governor Gray Davis to serve as Vice Chairman of the California Department of Veterans Affairs. Most recently he volunteered with ACVOW as a mentor and friend to local Marines suffering from the stresses of repeated deployment.

Dr. Feldman was a doctor for my family for many generations and was such a great person. I feel like he really cared when he spoke to me, with so much candor and kindness. It's funny, sometimes we would just go to him for regular doctor stuff because of the comfort and excellent care he provided. I just found out about his passing and condolences to his wife that was always there by his side. Rest In Peace doc, spread your beautiful spirit!

Dr. feldman was my Doctor for over 36 years. He became my daughter Hally's Doctor and deliverd my two grand children. We always spoke about my daughter going into labor when you and Dr. feldman were on your first date. My heart goes out to you Patti I know how much he loved you. I am heartbroken to hear this sad news.

Dr. Feldman was the beloved doctor for all the women in my family. He delivered both my children . I admired him so much. He gave amazing medical and emotional guidance during both the happiest times and saddest times. He always involved my husband in everything as well. He was my doctor for almost 30 years and I will miss him terribly.
All my best to Patty and also the office staff who were with him for as long as he was my doctor.
Truly he was a wonderful doctor and person.

I am deeply saddened learning of Dr. Feldman's passing. He was my OB/GYN for 37 years and delivered our children as well as being my daughter, Chelsea's OB/GYN.
My husband Tom is a former marine and had great respect and admiration for Dr. Feldman.

Patty,
Even though we have never met you Ed told me so many beautiful things about you.
Our friendship was very brief in the past year prior to his illness he supported me through two life-threatening illnesses of my own. His wonderful supporting attitude convincing me to keep up the fight you're a Marine with expletives kept me going.
I truly love this man and his spirit and I want you to know we all are grieving in his leaving us.

During his service in Vietnam Dr Feldman saved countless lives as a surgeon in Charlie med at the 77 day siege of Khe Sanh. Many of us who he cared for, owe him our lives! Rest easy Sir! Dear Patty,
My heart is broken, you lost the love of your life a kind and caring man who loved you, his Family, his Children and Grandchildren and his Country. He lives on in so many of his Patients memories making us always feeling like we were his only patient. Always going beyond medicine but caring for all of our needs. Always there for each one of us. Always cheerful and interested in each person he came in contact with.
