Julia Faith Sanders

Ventura - Julia Faith Sanders was born in Jacksonville, Fl on July 24, 1959 to Don Turner and Constance Turner (Sproul). She was the second born of seven kids.

Julia grew up in Ventura and other areas of SoCal as a military brat. She attended Buena and Ventura High and graduated in '77. She attended VC in their medical billing program.

She met the love of her life James "tree trunk" Roddick in early '82 and they were married three months later on March 13th. Together they raised Summer, Jama, Jake and Chelsea.

Family was very important to Julia. She enjoyed being an awesome room mom, Den Mother and Troop leader for her kids. Our home was always full of love, music and family. Holidays and birthdays were always extra specials. She instilled her love of family traditions in her kids.

Julia worked for and managed Sees Candies Shops in Ventura, Santa Barbara , Thousand Oaks and Palmdale for over twenty years.

Julia loved being a Grandma to Corgan, Winter , Kodiak, Miles , Dexter, Tucker, Sebastian, Atticus, James and was excited for the arrival of Baby Stevenson and Baby Benezra coming this year. She especially loved the time spent with James helping to care for their grandson Kodiak.

Julia never fully recovered from the heartache of loosing James in 2016. Loosing their grandson Kodiak in 2019 was more than she could bear. She passed away peacefully in the evening of February 24th 2021 in her home surrounded with love.

Julia will be forever missed by her children Summer (Stan) Twigg, Jama (Tyler) Stevenson, Jake (Cherish) Roddick and Chelsea (Kyle) Benezra. We will make sure her memory lives on in her grandchildren whom loved her deeply.

A memorial will be held at a later date.
