Leo Sinsheimer Sr., 78, of Spring Hill, Tenn., went to his heavenly home on Jan. 21, 2008.
Leo was born June 21, 1929, to Arthur Sinsheimer and Elizabeth Manley. He had four brothers who preceded him in death and one sister, Mae.
At 16, he enlisted in the Untied States Navy and was stationed in the Philippines.
He met and married his wife of 52 years, Eleanor Mayer. They lived in New Jersey and in 1967 moved to Simi Valley, where they raised their 12 children.
Leo worked as a tool and die maker for 48 years.
He was a member of his parish at St. Catherine's Catholic Church in Columbia, Tenn.
Leo was a kind, loving and generous man. He was loyal to God and to his family. He had a great sense of humor. He loved to laugh and make others laugh. He enjoyed nothing more than being with his family and watching a football game.
He will be missed dearly by his wife, Eleanor; children Mary Briggs (husband Roy), Linda Savage (husband John), Leo Sinsheimer Jr. (wife Pam), Sharon Kellogg (husband Dave), Donna Herron (husband Mike), James Sinsheimer, Timothy Sinsheimer (wife Lisa), Patricia Sine (husband Steve), Paula Norton, Lenore Noone (husband Dennis) and Christopher Sinsheimer; 38 grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and sister, Mae.
He was preceded in death by his son Michael Sinsheimer.
