Stephen M. Gettleman passed away on Dec. 4, 2010 in Thousand Oaks.
Steve was born on Sept. 13, 1943 in Los Angeles. He attended school in the San Fernando Valley. He joined the US Air Force after high school where he was stationed at Hahn Air Base, West Germany, with the "Home of the 50th Air Police, K-9 Section" in the early 1960s. After the service and throughout his life he was employed by Fedco Foods as director of meat operations.
Steve is survived by his wife, Jacklyn; daughters, Tammy and Tina; son, Brandon; sister, Sandy Klein; grandchildren, Shayne, Ryan, Allicia and Courtney; and a great-grandson, Isaiah.
The celebration of his life will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Guide Dogs of America, 13445 Glenoaks Blvd., Sylmar, CA 91342. Aabbey Memorial, Funeral Directors, A Heritage Life Tribute Center, Thousand Oaks, is assisting the family with the arrangements. 487-4200.
