Graveside services for Hubert Dale Rogers, 85, and his wife, Maria "Bambi" Rogers, 69, both of Sallisaw were held at 2 p.m. on Tuesday, Jan. 14, 2025, at Akins Cemetery in Sallisaw, under the care of Agent Mallory Martin Funeral Service, Inc.
Hubert, born on Aug. 11, 1939, in Sallisaw, was a former asbestos abater, rural mail carrier, and carpenter. Maria, born on June 28, 1955, in San Francisco, Calif., enjoyed gardening and horses. Together, they shared a love for motorcycle riding and calligraphy.
Survivors are five daughters, Vanessa Tanner and husband Jeff of Lubbock, Texas, Hali Rogers of Lubbock, Crystal Thomas and husband Dennis of Sallisaw, Nikki Baureis and husband Charley of Heber Springs, Ark., and Julie Baggs and husband David of Sallisaw; three sons, Rafe Rogers and companion Bonnie of Lubbock, Corey Rogers and wife Jolene of Shallowwater, Texas, and Wes Rogers and wife Sandra of Carlsbad, N.M; 14 grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; Hubert's two sisters, Della McCaleb and Jessie K. Patrick and husband Mike, both of Sallisaw; along with other relatives and friends.
Hubert was preceded in death by his parents, Ivey Jessie (Watts) Rogers and Hubert Oyler "Buster" Rogers. Maria was preceded in death by her parents, Karen (Jones) Baldwin and Aldo Edmundo Bogni; and sister, Debbie Wade.
Pallbearers were Wes Rogers, Cory Rogers, Dennis Thomas, David Baggs, Brian Martin, Travis Connelly, and Devon Baggs.
