Herbert Cosmey Jr.

Herbert L. Cosmey Jr., 82, a Building Inspector of Visalia passed away Saturday, October 3, 2009. Herbert was born in Lindsay on June 3, 1927. Herbert was a member of IAPMO, Valley Christian Church in Tulare and the Visalia Gadabouts. His hobbies included golfing, traveling, woodworking and rocking the babies to sleep. Herbert loved the Lord and enjoyed life. He will be greatly missed by his family and friends for his smiling face and sense of humor. He is survived by his wife, Mary Cosmey of Visalia; a son, John and wife Heidi Cosmey of Florida; daughters, Margaret and husband Philip Ronnerud of Arizona, Karen & husband Arvin Donnell of Visalia; sisters, Geraldine and husband Lee Turner of Oregon, Janet and husband Alf Pollestad of San Jose; 6 grandchildren; 7 great-grandchildren; also survived by numerous nieces and nephews. Memorial service Thursday, October 8, 2009, 1:00 p.m. at First Christian Church, 1023 N. Chinowth, Visalia. Visitation Wednesday, October 7, 2009, 4-7 p.m. at Salser and Dillard Funeral Chapel. Private burial at Lindsay Cemetery.
