Tommie Joe Edwards was born April 14, 1949 to Tommie and Ruth Edwards. He departed his life Tuesday, March 22, 2016 at nearly 67 years of age. He was born in Tulare California and has been a resident of the Tulare area his entire life. He attended and graduated from Tulare Western High School. He married Charlene Pope (Estey) and they spent 15 years together. He worked for UPS and Knudsen Creamery/Kraft, before retiring. He enjoyed fishing, Motown music, and never turned down the opportunity to have a good time.

He is survived by four children, Traci Carr (Turner), Kyrk Edwards, Tommie Joe Edwards III, and Scott Edwards, as well as fourteen grandchildren. He also left behind two brothers, Tyrono and Tyrone; five sisters, Ruby, Dorthy, Regina, Gretta, and Mia; and many nieces and nephews. He also had a long-time friend and companion, Linda Cody.

My dear friend has gone to be with the lord, I am truly going to miss him, we talked on the phone a lot. My heart is torn. my condolences to the family, and may you rest in peace Tommie. Gone but never forgotten, always will be in my heart.

its hard to find the right words to say everyone who passes away no matter how bad that he was they say he was a good person well in this case he ways a grate person his manners and they way he acted was prof that he came from a fine home and he lived that life he was always smileing no matter what he never had a bad word to say about anyone i fell very sorry for his entire family

We had some great times together. Worked together at UPS, he helped me a lot in my rookie years. We played together on the basketball court and had fun just hanging out. A good man and good friend. Will never forget Tom. God Bless his family.
