Larry Carr

Orlando, FL - Larry Paul Carr, 75, passed away peacefully on the evening of Monday, August 4, 2025, in Orlando, Florida.

Born December 15, 1949, in Lebanon to Guila (Moodie) Carr Doucette and Charlie Paul Carr, Larry was his parents' cherished only child. Growing up in his father's junk yard, he discovered a lifelong passion for muscle cars. Following his father's passing when he was just sixteen, Larry left school to support himself and his mother.

Larry married his beloved Audrey in October 1982, and they spent over four decades together. Together, they ran Carr's Cars and More Cars, known across the Upper Valley for creative used car commercials.

Larry also worked at Dartmouth College as a Safety and Security officer before transitioning to IT support- recognition for his self-taught programming acumen was one of his proudest achievements.

An active volunteer, Larry contributed to the Lebanon Lions Club, Lebanon Area Jaycees, Planning Board, Zoning Ordinance Review Committee, and Historical Society. He organized numerous car shows and haunted house fundraisers, and donated to the children's annex at the Lebanon Public Library.

After moving to Orlando in 2017, Larry embraced community life, riding his recumbent tricycle, playing poker, and "souping up" mobility scooters and e trikes. He remained active buying, selling, and popping wheelies until a stroke in early June.

Larry is survived by his wife, Audrey; his children Christopher Paul Carr (Lena) and Crystal Amber Metric (Andy); five grandchildren-Cameron, Freddy, Ariel, Kelvin, and Lumen-and their beloved yellow Labrador, Skye. His warmth, humor, and wisdom will be deeply missed.

A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date in Lebanon, New Hampshire, where his ashes will be laid to rest. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital or your local humane society.
