Marguerite Condict Obituary
South Strafford , VT - Marguerite Condict, 93 orignally from South Strafford Vermont, passed away on Sat. July 1st, 2023, while at Woodridge Nursing home in Berlin Vt.
Born on Nov. 19th 1929, she grew up in Strafford Vt.
She graduated from Northfield /Mt. Herman boarding school. Marguerite married James Condict and lived in South Strafford for almost all her life.
Marguerite studied nursing and was an accomplished Artist in her younger years. She learned how to ski being married to Jim, and helped teach skiing in the Ford Sayre after school program. She also taught skiing and helped run their ski shop in the beginning years of Pinnacle Ski-ways in Randolph. In the summertimes she and Jim ran their summer business Huntington Fence Company until they both retired and sold the business.
Marguerite loved being outside and nature, hiking, walking,
gardening, cooking, her german shepherds, and then in her later years norwegian elkhounds. Her beloved Charlie cat kept her in good company for many years until recently.
After Jim passed she insisted on maintaining their large property in South Strafford mowing, weedwacking, and riding around on her John Deere mower with a small trailer to the garden and hauling wood til almost 90 years of age!
She is survived by Laura Condict Eliseo, Jay ( James J.) Condict. Grandaughters: Brie Condict, Brittany Condict, Damienne Condict.
Great grandchildren: Colin and Aurelia.

I have great memories playing with Laurie at the Condict house and loved Marguerite's snickerdoodles. The artwork was lovely and we would walk up to her grandmother's home with an inground pool. Sounds like she lived the good life.
