I worked with Erline for many years at Providence while she was director of nurses and our relationship was not friendly in the beginning, but we grew to know and like each other very well. We actually could laugh about our bad beginning. One night we met at the old HEB in Southgate Shopping Center and she had her hair in rollers and had her houseshoes on and we laughed so hard because she said "I knew if I came out dressed like this I would see someone I knew." At work we always laughed when we saw each other about this chance meeting we had. She was always so prim and proper, but I got to see the other side of her that night. It was a memory I will always hold dear to myself. Please know that I feel your sadness. A friend to Erline. Linda Waller, R.N. ICU Providence Health Center
