Jeannine O'Connor Obituary

Jeannine O'Connor was born to be a really great grandmother. She loved her role and loved her two grandchildren even more; four year-old Conor who affectionately called her "Nene" [pronounced knee-knee] and little Kayla who was christened last week. She was devoted to her children and worked for years as a waitress at Il Capriccio in Waltham where she was a beloved member of the restaurant team. Jeannine M. Peabody was born in Waltham on June 20, 1964, a daughter of Clayton and Jean (Dodakin) Peabody of Watertown. She was raised in Watertown where she was a graduate of Saint Patrick's High School. Jeannine was 51 when she died on Saturday, January 16, 2016 and will forever be remembered with love and affection by a family who will cherish the memory of her sweet smile and her generous spirit. In addition to her parents and grandchildren, she leaves her children, Jessica A. Crusco and her husband, Stephen, of Waltham, Colleen M. O'Connor and her fianc, Brendon Clark, of Boston and Ryan C. O'Connor of Waltham; her sister, Cheryl Martino and her husband, Tony, of Watertown and several nieces and nephews. She was also the wife of the late Kevin J. O'Connor and a sister of the late Clayton Joseph Peabody. Her Funeral Mass was celebrated on Saturday, January 23rd, in Our Lady Comforter of the Afflicted Church, 880 Trapelo Road, Waltham. Burial was in Ridgelawn Cemetery, Watertown. Memorial donations may be made to the Crusco Education Fund, c/o Sachetta & Callahan, LLC, 600 Market Street, #684, Lynnfield, MA 01940. I am so sad to see Jeannine is gone. She was a great mother and friend to her sister. As her cousin we spent many Thanksgivings at her grandmothers house,( My Aunt) Enjoying each others company playing games. We all grew up seeing our family enjoy being together. Watching us all grow with spouses and children. Jeannine I will miss you.

Many years ago (38+) I had the privilege of meeting Jeannine.
I was the Director of Aquatics at the Watertown Boys and Girls Club.
Jeannine would come over to the Club for her PE classes.

My thoughts and prayers to all that remain here on earth.
Remember the great times, the fun times...the times of love, the times of learning, the times of nurturing.

Life on earth is precious.
Life in the everafter is the ultimate.

God bless you all.

Jeannine was the sweetest, kindest, most beautiful woman I have ever had the pleasure of knowing. I looked forward to going to the restaurant just to be able to chat with her and see all the latest pictures of her beautiful family and beloved Teddy. We are all completely heartbroken, but I will always cherish the time I got to spend with her kind soul through the years. I am so sorry for the family's loss, but feel comforted knowing you are looking over them every day with pride and that contagious smile. We will love and miss you for a lifetime.

Words cannot describe how truly sorry we are for the entire family. Jeannine was always so kind and caring, she was a gentle soul who loved her children and grandchildren more than anything. She was so proud of her children and would always tell stories of all of their accomplishments and especially of their kindness.
May all the wonderful memories you have of her give you some comfort during such a difficult time
May you rest in peace, love and light my dear.

My deepest condolences to Kevin's family.

I was a Fiorella's regular customer, often for a late lunch or early dinner. I sat at the bar and being off hours and quiet, Kevin always had time to chat. He talked about his family, and would especially light up about his grandson and new baby sister.

Although I knew Kevin only from Fiorella's, we had a lot of great conversations. I found him to be intelligent and insightful, with a quick wit and a kind heart.

I send my thoughts and prayers to Kevin's family and friends. I am
heartbroken for you all.
