AMBER L. KENT
Amber L. Kent, 29, of Washington, D.C., suddenly on Monday, June 4, 2012. Beloved mother of Amaya; loving daughter of Clarence Kent, Sr. and Patricia (Kessler) Kent; sister of CJ, Matthew, William and Veronica; host of other relatives and friends. Funeral 12 noon Saturday, June 16, at Cedar Hill Funeral Home, 4111 Pennsylvania Ave., Suitland. Viewing 11 a.m. to noon. Interment in Cedar Hill Cemetery.

To my lil sister,
You were a joy to everyone. Your smile was infectous. Your spirit was beautiful. You were my baby. Your journey here on earth has come to and end. Your new journey in heaven has just begun. You have alot of new tasks that need to be completed. You have a whole new set of rules and regulations to follow. But being the person you are, you will greatly accept all the challenges that the Lord has to offer you. I will miss you deeply. I love you so much that words cant explain how im feeling, have felt and will continue to feel as time goes by. In my eyes, you were taken away to soon. There is so much that you will not be able to physically see here on earth. But your spirit will forever live on. I know that you are watching over us. (mom, me, cj, amaya, and the rest of the family) I am hurting so much. I'm still numb and still cant believe that you are gone. Now, you will have to watch over grandma. She came to join you on 7/11/12. Its hard to believe that she to is gone. No matter where you are, you will always be my little sister, in life and death. I love you so much........

IM SO SORRY TO HEAR THE LOST OF AMBER KENT I RMEMBER HER WHEN WE USE TO LIVE N THE SAME BULIDING ME,HER,CJ,AND THE REST OF THE KIDS USE TO TALK AND HAVE FUN IMMA MISS U AMBER EVEN THOUGH WE LOST CONTACT AND IM JUST FINDING OUT CUZ I HAD RELOCATED WHAT HAPPEN. I met Amber at our daughter's school and enjoyed volunteering In the class with her. Everytime she would see me she would give me a hug,
we had fun and many laughs when we helped out at May Day.My prayers are with you Amaya and your Family! R.I.P. Amber.

I knew Amber from when she worked at the salon. I can only describe her as a hard worker and a very good mother. I liked her alot. She was a very likable person and very helpful. And she was so funny. In Amber, I only saw a young woman who only wanted to be loved and wanted to do right by her daughter. I loved Amber and I wish the last time I saw her (Mother Day) that I had the chance to tell her that. But I know she knows. RIP Amber.

Only new Amber for four years through my husband and Marcus. Had great weekends just playing cards and enjoying the kids. My prayers are with the Kent family and Amaya, Amber was a sweet person with a wonderful spirit that will be missed. Know the Lord never makes mistakes and he called her home for a purpose and she will forever be in our hearts!

To the family: Stay strong and hold on to God's unchanging hands. I had the pleasure of meeting Amber while working at Forestville High School. She and her family became my family. Amber, Amaya, and her mom Pat, would come to visit me at the school. It was just last year when Amber came. She will be missed tremendously.
