Anne Wiener Snyder

On Monday, September 23, 2024, of Bethesda, MD. Beloved wife of the late Edward Jarrin Snyder; mother of Meg Snyder Thompson (Brian) and Cara Snyder McVie (Graeme); grandmother of Elizabeth, Carolyn, and Mary Cullen Thompson, and Campbell, Lachlan, and Iain McVie; twin sister of the late Mary Wiener Crawford and sister of the late Ted Wiener; sister-in-law of the late Donald Crawford and Sally Wiener. Born in Wilkes-Barre, PA and raised in Kingston, PA, Anne graduated from Marywood College in Scranton, PA in 1961. Upon graduation, she moved to the Washington, DC area where she taught at Newport Mill Junior High School before marrying Ed. Anne was a substitute teacher, tutor, and volunteer speech coach at Little Flower School, and a loyal parishioner of the Church of the Little Flower. Anne and Ed were married for 50 years before his death, and her family, friends, and neighbors were the joys of her life. Relatives and friends may call at the Church of the Little Flower, 5601 Massachusetts Avenue, Bethesda, MD, on Thursday, October 3 at 11 a.m. with Mass of Christian Burial at 12 p.m. She will be inurned with her husband at Arlington National Cemetery at a later date. Memorial contributions may be made to the Church of the Little Flower.
