On September 15, 2013 of Bethesda, Maryland and Ocean City, New Jersey. Beloved husband of Laurie; devoted father of Michael A. Cairo, Richard J. Cairo (Joyce), Susan Grapes (Dave), Cathy Patrick (Steve), and James G. Cairo (Lisa); grandfather of Jimmy, Susie, Michael, Keith, Brandon, Liam and Maura. Friends will be received at PUMPHREY'S BETHESDA-CHEVY CHASE FUNERAL HOME, 7557 Wisconsin Avenue Bethesda, Maryland on Thursday September 19, 2013 from 7 to 9 p.m. Friends will also be received from 11 a.m. till 12 Noon at The Church of the Little Flower, 5607 Massachusetts Avenue, Bethesda, Maryland 20816 where a Mass of Christian Burial will be offered at 12 Noon. Interment Arlington National Cemetery at later date. Memorial contribution s may be made to Little Workers of the Sacred Heart, 3620 15th St, N.E., Washington, DC 20017. It was with sadness and regret that I learned of the passing of Dr. Armon Cairo. He was a trusted and valuable member of the Medical Staff of Sibley Memorial Hospital. He was respected and admired by the entire staff. Please know that our thoughts and prayers are with you.

ARMON A.CAIRO, M.D. was a great medical educator, a wonderful colleague, a superb professional of both internal medicine and psychiatry, as well as a worthy Georgetown Romeo.
Tony, the individual, was one of my favorite people.
