BRITTANY ELLIOTT Obituary

BRITTANY CLEMENTS ELLIOTT
Our beautiful daughter, Brittany Clements Elliott, age 28, died on March 29, 2016 at Virginia Hospital Center. She possessed a kind heart, an infectious laugh, and a creative soul. She loved to cook, paint, sew, ride horses, play with the family pugs, hang with family and friends, watch horror films, sit on the beach, and generally be a free spirit. Britt attended McLean High School in McLean, VA, where she was on the girl''s crew team and studied fashion design at the Fairfax Academy for Communications & the Arts. She then attended Savannah College of Art and Design in Savannah, GA, where she studied fashion design, fibers, and road trips. Britt is survived by her parents, Gail Clements and Richard Elliott, her older brother, Brenton, grandparents Lillian Elliott and David Clements, and many aunts, uncles and cousins. In her passing, Britt shared the gift of life as an organ and tissue donor. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Virginia Hospital Center Foundation are suggested. A private memorial service will be held at a later date.

Dear Gail, Richard and Brenton,
I can't imagine your pain at this saddest of times but please know you are in our thoughts and prayers. I'll always remember Britty happily cheering on her brother at his soccer games with that adorable bulldog at her side. Brenton's old teammate Eric called to tell us this heart-wrenching news. He sends his love and heartfelt thoughts.

I am remembering fondly an evening not too long ago when Brittany sat with my husband and I to have dinner at a lovely party at her parents' home. It was a warm evening and the backyard was lit with many little lights and cool blue table coverings. It was a perfect backdrop for a lovely young woman in a pretty, white sun dress. Brittany looked beautiful with her gorgeous, long, dark hair and her wide smile which came easily that night. We sat and talked about many things: her activities, her family, the delicious dinner, and the beauty of the night, which she helped to create. In particular we share a great love of our dogs and we almost always exchanged little stories about them. Brittany will always remain that creative spirit, full of youth, with a sparkling smile. With great fondness for the entire family,

I knew Brittany all her life and she often brought sunshine into mine. She was a creative young woman who shared my love of horses and she often surprised me. I don't have words to express how sorry I am that her life was taken so soon. I am missing her every day. My love to her parents, Gail and Richard and to her brother Brenton. My heart aches for you.
