Mother Lucie Thompson: I take this opportunity to express my heartfelt sympathy upon the passing of your revered son DAVID A. STROTHER. At the conclusion of our 2013 National Church of God Family and Friends Day, I enjoyed an awesome "Bell Vocat" reunion with David. David and I traveled back to the sixties reflecting on his experiences as a student and my experiences as a teacher at Bell Vocational High School in northwest Washington D.C. I am sensitive to a loss of a love-one especially with respect to you as a mother in losing your second son. You can be assured that my prayers shall continue for you and your family.

As a former teacher at Bell Vocational High School where David Strother was an honor student in the sixties, I express my deepest sympathy upon the passing of David. He was a quiet soft spoken student among a largely aggressive student body. Even at a young age, David was mature and purpose driven. During 2013, I reunited with David at a Family and Friends Day Celebration taking the time to reflect back on the "Bell Vocat" days and much more. Let me point out that David's conduct was outstanding eliminating the need for school officials to summon his mother to the school. David represented his name and family well. Rest in peace David Strother.
