Dr. EARLENE H. THORNTON  
On Friday, April 28, 2017 of Frederick, MD; retired Montgomery County Educator; mother of Donald Eugene (Jhawnee) of Orlando, Florida and Jeffrey David of Albany, New York; grandmother of Corey Gerard of Orlando and Landon Ray of Rochester, New York; aunt of Iris "Peaches" Roseboro, and her children Ashley and Osbourne; sister-in-law of Thomas Thornton (Doris), Virginia Wilks (Melvin); childhood friend of Thelma Foy and Eloise Pepree, Rose Chaney; cousin of Karen Williams, Tonya Burke, Greg Thomas and other cousins and relatives. Home going service will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, May 6, at the Evangelical Lutheran Church, 31 E. Church Street, Frederick where friends will received from 10 to 11 a.m. Interment, Mt. Olivet Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Earlene and Henry Thornton Scholarship Fund with the Community Foundation of Frederick, 312 E.
