I knew her a bright light of inspiration to many people. Such a great sense of humor. I can still hear her voice. She was always there whenever I needed a volunteer up at Arlington Hospital. A great example of a life fully-lived.

I was a close friend of Gayle’s through her service work. She was so incredibly helpful to me and we had many many conversations at Starbucks in Falls Church where she talked in such glowing terms about her family and especially her beloved grandchildren. I will miss her very much.
