IVAN B. BRENDLER
On Thursday, January 4, 2007, IVAN B. BRENDLER of Silver Spring, MD; beloved husband of the late Dossie Brendler; devoted father of Bobby (Soozie), Billy, and Larry (Belinda) Brendler; dear brother of Alma Weiss; loving grandfather of Stefanie, Candace and Amber; dear brother-in-law of Don Balfour. Graveside services will be held on Sunday, January 7, 2007, 10:15 a.m. at King David Memorial Garden, Falls Church, VA. Shiva will be observed at the home of Bobby and Soozie Brendler Sunday and Monday with services at 7:15 p.m. Memorial contributions may be made to the National Institute of Mental Health or to the charity of your choice. Arrangements entrusted to TORCHINSKY HEBREW FUNERAL HOME, 202-541-1001.

I was sorry to hear of your loss. Ivan was someone I really enjoyed working with when I was at Realty Management Services and he was always there with the right answer or direction when it came to insurance. I wish I could have been there to see him one last time.

I deeply regret hearing of the death of Ivan Brendler. I met him over 20 years ago through business and he was always concerned about my clients who required professional help with insurance matters. Ivan became a friend and Ivan was always right. I shall miss him.

Words cannot express the sorrow I feel about Ivan's passing. My only comfort is knowing he is not suffering anymore and he is "dancing" again with Dossie. Bobby, Soozie, Larry, Billy, Rickeye, and the rest of the Brendler family, my hope is that you can keep this image in your heads to help heal the pain you feel in your hearts.

It was a shock when I got the message on Thursday morníng that Ivan is not with us anymore. I always loved his kind of humor. Most I liked - when his was making faces. His is now in a better world with his beloved Dossie. I know he was a great father, therefore I would like to offer my condolences to Bobby (& Soozie) and Larry during this trying time. I will always remember Ivan, who - in a nutshell- really was a Mensch with a lot of Witz !
