JEANE MAST Obituary
JEANE P. MAST
Jeane P. Mast, 85, died April 18, 2013 at her daughter's home in Bethesda. She had Parkinson's Disease. Prior to her death, she was in the Foreign Service. She is survived by her sister, Patricia H. Lewis of Martinsburg, WV and her five children: Carol Mast Beach and her husband, Bennett of Bethesda; Patricia Mast of Alexandria; David Mast of Falls Church, Joanne Mast Valentine and her husband, Steve, of Bethesda; and Margaret Mast Ziegler and her husband, Jack, of Lancaster, PA. She had 12 grandchildren, Carter, Emily and Evan; Christopher, Catherine and Nick; Morgan; Grant and Griffin; and Emma, Sophie and Jack; and two great-grandchildren. Jeane was a committed member of St Patrick's Episcopal Church in Washington. She loved the Redskins and travel, but she will be remembered mostly for her generosity and optimism. A Memorial Service will be held on May 5 at 2 p.m. at St. Patrick's Episcopal Church, 4700 Whitehaven Pkwy., NW, Washington, DC 20007. In lieu of flowers, please remember Jeane by taking a bouquet or a meal to someone in need.

The United States Foreign Service was a better organization because of her presence in so many Embassies. We shared countless good times with her in Kinshasa and in and around Washington. A lovely lady never to be forgotten. R.I.P. Jeane.
