Family and friends will gather at 10:45 a.m. on Thursday May 25 to celebrate the life of Joanne Pratts Curran, artist, educator, beloved wife and mother, at the Arlington National Cemetery's Old Post Chapel. Joanne grew up in Norfolk, Virginia, traversed the nation and settled with her husband, the late Captain Robert W. Curran (USN), in Annandale, Virginia where they raised four children, Pamela Schaefer, Jennifer O'Hare, Robert Curran and Timothy Curran. She is also survived by four beloved grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. A lover of art in all its forms, Joanne brought her passion to creating an array of distinctive paintings, which are treasured heirlooms she shared generously with loved ones. We are immeasurably reduced by her passing but each of us can carry on the kind of acts of kindness she performed on a daily basis. We love you. Joanne will join her husband, Robert Curran, at Arlington.
