In my darkest hour
Do not stand at my grave and weep;
I am not here. I do not sleep.
I am a thousand winds that blow.
I am the diamond glints of snow.
I am the sunlight on the ripened grain.
I am the gentle autumn's rain.
When you awaken in the mornings hush, I am the swift uplifting rush
Of quiet birds in circled flight;
I am the stars that shine at night.
Do not stand at my grave and cry.
I am not there, I did not die.
(Indian prayer in memory of a tribe member)
To the Berner family...I pray that we can all cebrate his life and know he is so very close - in our hearts - still loving us and comforting us during his Grand Transition. In this time of letting go, there is so much of Uncle Jack to hold onto.Thank you for sharing him with our family since I was in second grade. We treasure you all. Colleen and Kerry Roche

Jack Berner was like an uncle to my brothers and sisters and I. I know that he is looking down from Heaven at us with my parents at his side - smiling. God Bless you Aunt Claire and the rest of the family. We love you too.

We will sorely miss Jack, the best of human beings. He personified the best of a military officer, husband, father and friend. Go in peace, my friend.
