Although I never met John, his brother Enn and I were friends, roommates and raced our sail boat on American Lake in the State of Washington while we served in the Army (1966-1969). Enn often spoke highly of his brother and the rest of the Mikk family.

Elaine, John, Darrin, and Lisa (and the rest of your family),
I was shocked to see John's obituary in the newspaper. John was a truly wonderful man and I have so many fun memories of us being together, especially in your basement in Olney. It meant so much to me that John and Elaine came to my retirement party. I just wanted you to know how sad I am and how much love and support I'm sending your way. Gail Kaplan-Wassell
