Of Alexandria, VA formerly of McLean, VA on Wednesday, July 27, 2005 at Alexandria Hospital. Beloved husband of Wilma J. Smoot; father of John D.K. Smoot, III, J. Calder Smoot Reardon, Rebecca Brawner Smoot and Robert Tyler Smoot; brother of Henry B. Smoot. He is also survived by eight grandchildren. Memorial Services will be held at St. John Episcopal Church, 6715 Georgetown Pike, McLean, VA 22101-0457 on Thursday, August 4 at 2 p.m. Interment private. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. John's Church Endowment Fund. Arrangements by MONEY & KING.
