I remember the change of command cerremony in Vietnam when Captain D'Emidio took command of MCB 74 with the whole battalion at attention parade in greens. We had good moral when he took command and we continued to have excellent moral. We worked 7 days a week but we did have enough time to enjoy our fellow seabee battalion mates in recreation often enough to have a good camaraderie. Thanks Captain for leading our battalion in hard but interresting work and safely home.

It was an honor to serve under Capt. D'Emidio. He led us well during our tour in Vietnam and returned safely with all hands.
Rest in Peace Captain. You served your Country well and led your men with distinction.

As a late comer to Golden Racquets, I wish I had known Joe. I am the daughter of Adm. Paul J. Halloran, Commander of the 6th Brigade of Seabees, WWII. I have supported the Seabee Museum and will continue to do so. Joe and your family are in my prayers.
