I grew up in Tenleytown, am the granddaughter of a Lutheran pastor and graduated from Gettysburg. While returning to DC to care for my mother, I discovered Judith's book and it was a wonderful resource for the history of the area. My walks around Ft Reno became very meaningful because of her. I hadnt picked the book up in a few years and did just a few days after her passing as I later learned. God was in this coincidence and I only wish I had written her while she was alive. I am grateful for her life and the gift of her book....
