I am so sorry to find out that my friend Kenny has left us, But I am comforted to know he has been welcomed at the Gate and will be forever with the Lord and all the faithful departed. I will never forget him and I know we will meet again. God bless the family.

I moved to the Washington DC area sixteen years ago, alone, without really knowing anyone, and feeling terribly lonely and grieving the recent passing of my parents. Kenny immediately "took me under his wing" and decided I would be his "little sister". I am forever grateful for his generous and gentle kindness and love. He truly was one of those rare and precious people who ALWAYS had something good to say to make others feel good and encouraged and inspired!
I shall sincerely miss you, dear Brother Kenny. I KNOW you are resting in joyful peace, for you truly have been a good and faithful servant!

Kenny shared his love for Friday Fish nights with friends often! Kenny spent 1987 - 2017 as a faithful and dedicated volunteer with the National Rainbow Coalition until they moved headquarters back to Chicago. There was no task too great or small he would not energetically participate in from the daily/weekly needs to our National Conventions/ Celebrations, Marches, Demonstrations, Operations, and Mailings he was always ready and available to perform, though he worked with few interruptions around the world as an Airline Steward. Kenneth was a loyal supporter of the Rev. Jesse L. Jackson, Sr. and his entire family often offering his time, finances, flight opportunities to them and all he committed to as
a friend and servant of God. When Kenneth befriended you, you had a friend without any holds. We will ever be uplifted by his unwavering love and kindness.

When both my parents and my favorite Aunt were entering their
Transition and earthly departure and I
had to move to Texas in their transition leaving
my daughter and Grandson in DC living in the same complex with him at Marlboro Plaza, he not only facilitated my travels back and forth during that horrendous time as a brother, but often cooked and checked on them as their Uncle Ken. To say we learned to love and
Care for him is
so minuscule to what he poured into our lives as we tried to
support him in the deep sorrows of his family losses and hurts. He took his last breath wanting us to all know "The Other Side" of the loss of his daughter, Hope and the family he created as Kenneth N. Hall, the Husband, Father, Son, Brother, Grandfather carrying on the wonderful legacy of the Halls of Danville, VA.! May his fervor for life and joy live on forever in all he
touched!
