MICHELE MAILLEY DOWNS (Age 58)
A former letter carrier for the U.S. Postal Service, died Wednesday, June 27, 2007 at her home. Ms. Downs was born September 3, 1948 in Washington, DC. She was the former Vice President of the St. Paul National Association of Letter Carriers Branch 28 from 1994-1997, former President of the St. Paul National Association of Letter Carriers Branch 28 from 1998-2001, and was a former officer in the State Association in Minnesota. A memorial service will be held Saturday, July 7, 2007 at 10 a.m. at Adams Green Funeral Home in Herndon, VA. Inurnment will follow in Chestnut Grove Cemetery in Herndon. Survivors include her daughter, Teresa Deutschmann and her husband, Roy of Southaven, MS; mother, Charlotte Steele of St. Petersburg, FL; three sisters, Marilyn McKenney of Stafford, VA, Alison Steele and Roberta Wall, both of St. Petersburg, FL; and two grandchildren, Faith Fogarty and Logan Deutschmann, both of Southaven. She was preceded in death by her father, Frank E. Mailley.
