MORGAN TOM Obituary

Colonel TOM GRAHAM MORGAN
On January 22, 2014, Colonel Tom Graham Morgan of Falls Church, Virginia died after a short battle with cancer. Tom was a devoted and loving husband of Kenneth Youngert for 27 years and formerly of Margaret Ann Morgan. He was a dedicated and supportive father of Elizabeth Morgan of Boston and Cricket Sutton of Seattle. He is also survived by two precious grandsons, Casey and Garrett and his two beloved dogs, TG and Scooter. Tom earned his Bachelor's degree from Cornell University and later went on to earn his Law degree from Albany Law School and his Masters in Law from George Washington University. Col. Morgan served in the US Army for 4 ½ years and remained in the Army Reserve for 23 years. He worked for 38 years as Associate Deputy General Counsel for the Department of Defense at the Pentagon. He retired in 2005 but continued as an expert consultant for the DOD. Col. Morgan was awarded the Meritorious Service Medal for servicing with the Military Personnel Law Team. Tom was hard working, generous and kind. He had a genuine love of life and others (and dancing). He will be remembered for his warm heart, infectious smile and vivacious personality. Tom will be missed by many but his legacy will live on through all those who loved him. Tom's memorial service will be held on Monday, February 17, 2014 at 11 a.m. at St. John's Episcopal Church, 3240 O St NW, Washington DC. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Make A Wish Foundation.
