PETER POMPONIO Obituary
PETER PAUL POMPONIO, SR. (Age 78)
Devoted husband and loving father passed away peacefully on January 23,2013 at his home in Rockville, MD. Survivors include wife, Carolyn Cowdin Pomponio; children, Peter Pomponio, Jr. of Port Tobacco, MD, Susan Callery of Warrenton VA, Carol Pomponio and Sharon Pomponio, both of Arlington VA; eight grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. He also leaves behind his brother, Louis Pomponio, Jr. of Sterling, VA and sister, Gloria McKeever of Fairfax, VA. He was predeceased by his brother, Paul. A memorial gathering will be held on Tuesday January 29 from 7 to 9 p.m. at Pumphrey's Funeral Home, Rockville, MD. A Mass of Celebration will be held on January 30, 11 a.m. at Holy Trinity Catholic Church, Washington, DC. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Sidney Kimmel Cancer Center, 100 North Charles Street, Suite 234, Baltimore, MD 21201.
