To the wife and family of Randy;

My prayers and heartfelt sympathy are with you all. I worked with Randy at the Boy Scout Camps and in the Order of the Arrow and was 3 years behind him at CBC. He was a great mentor and encouraged me to work hard to achieve the things that he did. He was a major influence in my going to West Point and I did my orientation in his company while I was the the Prep School. As God would have it we even served together in the 1st Bn 10th Infantry where he was a company commander and I was the adjutant.

Randy was a little older than me and always kept that professional relationship but I always thought of him as a friend. I am glad he made Col in the real Army and I am sure he will be a General in God's Army.
