Richard Vincent Curtin (Age 94)
of Silver Spring, MD, passed away on Friday September 15, 2023. Beloved husband of Mary Ann Curtin; father of Richard Curtin (Sherry), Thomas Curtin (Cheryl), Susan Mack, Mary Ann Rogers (Bruce), Deborah Barrett (Rob), Joan Klein (Tom), Robert Curtin, and Karen Atabek (Alp). Richard is also survived by 15 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren. Relatives and friends may call at Collins Funeral Home, 500 University Boulevard West, Silver Spring, MD, Wednesday, September 20, 2023, from 2 to 4 p.m. A viewing will be held the following morning, Thursday, September 21, 2023 from 10 to 11 a.m. at Our Lady of Grace Church, 15661 Norbeck Blvd, Silver Spring, MD, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11 a.m. Interment at Gate of Heaven Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Little Sisters of the Poor, 4200 Harewood Road, NE Washington, DC 20017.

Dear Mr Curtain,
I will never forget you and Joe Thank my softball coaches at St John The Baptist long long ago.
Those were one of my most memorable years in my life. I have never forgotten how dedicated you were to supporting girls softball. We won a lot of games due to your love of coaching. I still have the softball from one of our championship games (of course I can´t find it at the moment )
Your family has been blessed to have you for all those 94 years. I pray that your wife and family are at peace.
If I make it to heaven I hope we can start an old ladies team.
