Robert B. Dix Sr.

DIX ROBERT B. DIX, SR. Robert B. Dix, Sr., age 82, died on Monday, December 28, 2009, at Mary Washington Hospital. Mr. Dix resided in Lake Land''Or in Ruther Glen, VA, formerly of the Vienna, Falls Church and Dale City, VA areas. He was a veteran of World War II. He served over 60 years in law enforcement, including the Vienna Police, Magistrate of Fairfax County, and with the US Marshalls in Alexandria and Richmond. He served in various civic associations and organizations, as well as church work. Beloved husband of Jan K. Dix; father of Robert Dix, Jr., Donny Dix, the late Barbara Jean Dix, Kimberly Fradette-Taylor, and Cyndie Sebben; brother of Ruth Williams, the late Miriam Davis, Hubert Lutz, Ralph Snoot, and Jean Cairns. He is also survived by his beloved grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Gloria Dix. A Celebration of Robert''s Life will be held on Saturday, January 2, 2010 from 3 to 6 p.m. at MONEY & KING FUNERAL HOME, 171 W. Maple Ave., Vienna, VA, where a Celebration of Life service will be held on Sunday, January 3 at 1 p.m. Additional celebration of life services will be held at Unity Church of Fredericksburg, 3607 Lafayette Blvd., Fredericksburg, VA 22408 on Saturday, January 16, 2010 at 5 p.m. Interment National Memorial Park.
